Conference on problems and perspectives of Azerbaijanâ€™s insurance market held in Baku

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. Today, a conference on â€œproblems and perpestives of Azerbaijanâ€™s insurance marketâ€ was held in Baku by the organizing of Azerbaijan Insurers Association and Finance Ministry.
According to AIA Chairman of Board of Directors Azer Aliyev, the conference was aimed to draw the importance of activity of insurance institutions attention of officials of state bodies and leaders of business organizations.
He noted that, this conference was directed to the insurers.
Chief of Azerbaijan Parliament Economical Policy Commission Ziyad Samadzadeh noted that Azerbaijan has changed to a country having favourable investment environment. Population has increased the belief to the insurance companies in the country: â€œWe have to enlighten the population about insurance sphere. One of the important issues for development of insurance business is to enlighten the population about insurance sphereâ€.
According to him, $ 200 mln-annual insurance premium is very little for Azerbaijan: â€œThere are difficulties, competitions, problems on involving of clients, in Azerbaijan. But, even though, the population must be enlightened about insurance sphereâ€.
