Azerbaijan Days held in WBâ€™s headquarter in Washington

According to CBA, Theodore Ahlers, Regional Operations Director of World Bank on Europe and Central Asia spoke about the development of Azerbaijan during the past years and new perspectives and challenges on it.

â€œWe are ready to be with Azerbaijan on the correctly solution of these challenges and intend to develop our cooperation more as during past 18 yearsâ€, he said.

CBA Chairman Elman Rustamov spoke about the role of World Bank in the world economy and noted that bankâ€™s activity is important for the post-communist camp. According to him, Azerbaijan has been supported by World Bank since their cooperation (1992).

He also noted that, global crisis has created new challenges for the world economy. Thatâ€™s why, the ideology and approaches of sustainable development and globalization issues are already changed, active polemic and intellectual researches are conducted for stable future of world economic system.

Remind that, Azerbaijan has been in cooperation with WB since 1992.
