Azerbaijan saves AZN 94 mln on account of procurement tenders, last year

Baku. Ali Ahmedov – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan’s state ventures and organizations have conducted 10 944 procurements in 2010, State Procurement Agency told APA.

According to Agency, total cost of signed procurement contracts made AZN 1 275.704 mln, in 2010. This means, AZN 93.996 mln of supposed prices of procurement subject (AZN 1 369.7 mln) was saved. Most of saving (92.56% or AZN 87 mln) came from tender procurement. AZN 6.989 mln was saved in procurements on quotation polls.

AZN 56.994 mln or 4.99% of supposed price of tender subject was saved in 10 004 government procurements. As a result, the signed contracts were amounted AZN 1 084.766 mln. Saving in this on tender procurements made AZN 50.65 mln or 5.08%, on quotation poll – AZN 6.3 mln or 4.4%.

The 6 162 procurement tenders have been conducted on the account of Ministry, Committee and Government and the amount of signed contracts made AZN 771.31 mln. AZN 49.3 mln or 6.01% of supposed price of tender subject was saved during this process. Education, health, communal and other organizations of regions and cities (including Baku) have conducted 3 842 procurements on the account of government and AZN 7.686 mln or 2.39% were saved in these procurements.

23 procurements tenders have been conducted on the account of loan grants allocated by international financial organizations. AZN 5.138 mln or 5.65% was saved in these procurements. AZN 31.86 mln or 23.25% has ben saved in 917 procurement tenders conducted on the account of government enterprises and organizations.
