Establishment opportunities of interstate financial institutions in CIS researched in Baku

Several lectures were listened at the session. Main topic of them was related to cooperation perspectives in banking sphere in CIS countries and realization opportunities of them at different levels.

Mikhail Matovnikov, General Manager of the Interfax Business Service made a wide report on analyze of banking sectors in CIS countries, compared banking systems and spoke about future perspectives. He noted that, though the economies suffered loss from crisis restored gradually itâ€™s not worst expecting the sharply growth rates in 2007. According to him, generally, itâ€™s observed the decreasing of growth rate of assets in banking system of CIS countries.

Anatoli Kazakov, chairman of the Coordination board of the CIS financial-banking council, representatives of Sberbank, VTB, Mosoblbank and Sadarat banks stressed the importance of conference and informed more information about their organizations.

At the same time the Director of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan’s (CBA) Research and Development Center Emin Huseynov spoke about the current situation of banking system in Azerbaijan and CBAâ€™s measures against crisis.

The bankers of Azerbaijan and CIS countries, 180 participants consisting of representatives from Finance and Banking Council of CIS (FBC) attend the conference. The conference will last two days.
