Rufat Aslanli: Azerbaijan might float securities abroad to cover budget deficit in 2010

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-ECONOMICS. Azerbaijan is ready to float the necessary amount of securities abroad to cover the budget deficit in 2010, said Rufat Aslanli, Chairman of the State Committee on Securities.

Recalling the earlier plans to float Eurobonds of $250-500 million, he added â€œto cover the budget deficit, we are ready to float much more securities that the earlier announcement. But I hope that there will be no need for this,â€ he added.

Azerbaijanâ€™s draft state budget foresees revenue of AZN 10 015 million, expenditure of AZN 11 264 million, a deficit of AZN 1 249 million (about $1.5 billion).
