Azerbaijan predicts strategic currency reserves to exceed $20 billion by yearend

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov - APA-ECONOMICS. Azerbaijan’s strategic currency reserves are predicted to exceed $20 billion by this yearend, said Elman Rustamov, Chairman of the Central Bank.
"This level of strategic currency reserves can cover the two-year imports of the country", he added.
According to him, the countryâ€™s strategic currency reserves stand at $19 billion.

Note that the strategic currency reserves were $ 18 billion at the beginning of this year.
