Populationâ€™s savings account for 23% of bank liabilities in Azerbaijan

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-Economics. As of October 1, personal savings accounted for 23.4% of bank obligations in Azerbaijan, said the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

According to statistics, the share of savings in liabilities was 22.1% in October 2008, and 21.7% in January 2009.

The average figure is 15-18% in world banking practice.
