Consumer goods sales grow by 10% in Azerbaijan

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-ECONOMICS. AZN 11 270.3 million worth of goods and services were consumed by population in Azerbaijan during January-September, up 9.6% from a year ago, said the State Statistical Committee.

The private sector accounted for 81.8% or AZN 10 409 million of the consumer market.

The shares of retail goods turnover and paid services were 69.1% and 30.9% in the consumer market.

With the purchasing power increasing, a citizen purchased AZN 141.5 worth of consumer goods and services on average per month, up AZN 13.5 from a year ago.
