Azerbaijan sees 11% rise in populationâ€™s savings

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. As of September 1, savings put in Azerbaijan-based banks reached AZN 2 024.1 million, up 10.8% from a year ago, said the State Statistical Committee.

According to the statistics, 36.2% of savings are held in the home currency (manat) and 63.8% in foreign currencies, especially dollar.

75.1% of savings are in privately owned banks.
