Central Bank of Azerbaijan to simplify state-funded mortgage refinancing

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-ECONOMICS. There are problems with refinancing the government-funded mortgage lending, said Elman Rustamov, chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

He complained that mortgage lending process is not smooth and there are technical problems and red-tape.

"Banks do not submit the documents in time which leads to problems in refinancing. We are confident that these problems will soon be eliminated,â€ he added.

Elman Rustamov also said that the central bank intends to simplify the procedure for refinancing the state-funded mortgage lending.
