Fitch predicts 3.5% inflation in Azerbaijan

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijan is predicted to see a 3.5% rise in the prices of consumer goods and services in 2009, said Fitch Ratings said in a report.

According to the forecast, inflation is likely to reach 8% in 2010.

Earlier, IMF said Azerbaijan would see inflation at 4% in 2009 and 7% in 2010.

Azerbaijan had two-digit inflation for several years before 2009.
