CIS Customs Services Council to meet in Kazan

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov - APA-ECONOMICS. The Council of Heads of Customs Services of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) is scheduled to meet for the 50th meeting in Kazan (Tatarstan, Russia) on October 9, said Russian Federal Customs Service.

The meeting will be attended by the heads of customs services of Azerbaijan, Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine.

The agenda of the meeting includes a number of issues such as establishing a unified information system for CIS customs services, bringing the CIS countriesâ€™ customs legislation into line with the international legal framework, review of foreign trade statistics by working groups etc.

The Council of Heads of Customs Services of CIS Member States was established in 1993.
