Moldova announces civil servant pay freeze

Baku â€“ APA-Economics. Moldova has announced a freeze on salary increases for public sector workers.
Moldovan Minister of Economy Valerie Laza attributed the reason to the global financial crisis and the â€œincompetenceâ€ of the previous government.
In his words, civil servants will be offered social packages instead as incentive.
Teachers are the only group who will see an increase in their salary, he added,
