Azerbaijan to lead CIS in GDP growth this year

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-ECONOMICS. Azerbaijan is expected to see GDP growth rate at 7.5% at this yearend, said the updated report of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

According to the IMF outlook, Azerbaijan will take a leading place among the CIS countries in GDP growth in 2009 but will be unseated by Turkmenistan in 2010 (7.4%).

The report also says GDP growth rate will slow down to 0.9% in Azerbaijan in 2014.
