Baku. Vahab Rzayev - APA-ECONOMICS. As of August 1, 2009, the refinancing facilities provided by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan for commercial banks totalled AZN 780.660 million, up seven-fold on a year ago.
In general, over the last year the volume of refinancing saw steady growth, 57% (AZN 673.984 million) of which was in July.
That is, at a minimum of $ 381.19 million was lent in refinancing in July alone..
The main reason for a sharp rise in refinancing is to strengthen support to address the liquidity problems in the banking system.
