Bank assets rebound to early-year level in Azerbaijan

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-Economics. As of August 1, Azerbaijan-based commercial banksâ€™ assets stood at AZN 10 286.44 million, up 0.13% from early this year.

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan said assets grew by 11.9% or AZN 1 094.57 million in July after a slump of AZN 1 458.5 million in the first quarter and an increase of AZN 376.91 million in the next three months.

Loans lent to customers accounted for 66.26% of assets while obligations made up 81.61% of liabilities.
