Bank Respublika gets 32% rise in assets

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. As of May 1, Azerbaijan-based Bank Respublika posted its assets at AZN 389.8 million, up 32.1% on a year ago.

The bank said loan portfolio increased by 12.4% to AZN 238.3 million and funds in customer accounts increased by 14% to AZN 151.1 million.

Deposits by individuals rose by 12.1% to AZN 89.6 million and deposits by population went up by 21% to AZN 75 million.

Revenue for January-May made AZN 26.6million and expenditures reached AZN 18.9 million. Profit made AZN 7.7 million.

Bank Respublika has been in operation since 1992. DEG Investment Corporation and Sparkassen International Development Trust hold a 25%+1 joint stake.
