Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev – APA-Economics. Elmar Mammadov, deputy chairman of Azerbaijan-based Kapital Bank has been promoted to the post of chairman.

The bank said the change comes after the former chairman Rauf Rzayev’s tenure ended and board members were changed.

The changes will be approved at a general meeting of shareholders on June 9.

Owned by Pasha Holding (97.5%) and bank staff (2.5%), Kapital Bank has been in operation since 2000.

As of April 1, assets stood at AZN 341.534 million, deposit portfolio at AZN 174.914 million, lending portfolio at AZN 168.059 million, total capital at AZN 76.754 million and authorized capital stock at AZN 24 million.
The bank operates 89 branches, 312 ATMs and 480 POS terminals.
