IMF cancels Article IV consultation mission to Azerbaijan

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-Economics. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has postponed the mission team travel to Azerbaijan to conduct the discussions for the annual Article IV consultation, said IMF representative in Azerbaijan Koba Gvenetadze.

According to him, the mission was to visit Azerbaijan in June but the date has been rescheduled to September.

He said the mission will be led by IMF officer Valeria Fichera.

The Article IV consultation usually includes review of macroeconomic developments over the previous year and discussion with the authorities on the short- and medium-term economic outlook and provision of recommendations and suggestions.
