Two Azerbaijani wrestlers claimed silver medals at the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Apasport.az reports.
Women’s wrestler Ruzanna Mammadova (62 kg) and freestyle wrestler Islam Bazarqanov (57 kg) were defeated in their final match and earned silver medals.
In the 68 kg weight category, Nigar Mirzazade was scheduled to face Bangladesh’s Halima Akter for the bronze medal. As her opponent did not appear for the match, the Azerbaijani athlete was awarded the bronze medal.
