Today, boxing competitions continued at the Yevlakh Olympic Sports Complex within the framework of the III CIS Games, Apasport.az reports.
Azerbaijani boxer Ali Aliyev (48 kg) faced off against Mahammadali Kanibekov (Kyrgyzstan) in the 1/4 finals.
He defeated his opponent with a score of 5:0 and advanced to the semifinals.
Another boxer of ours, Aflatun Ismiyev (57 kg), defeated Artyom Panchenko (Belarus) with a score of 4:1 and advanced to the semifinals. Another representative of ours in the same weight category, Raul Heydarli, defeated his Kazakh opponent Ulas Alimzhan (4:1) and qualified for the semifinals.
In the 60 kg weight category, Azerbaijani boxer Togrul Guliyev defeated Turkmen Muhammademin Begenzhov with a score of 5:0 and entered the semifinals. Our other representative in the same weight category, Shahin Aslanov, defeated his Tajik opponent Yusuf Gurbonov (4:1) and qualified for the semifinals.
In the other match of the 1/4 finals, our boxer Ali Abasly defeated Kyrgyz athlete Khudaiberdi Abidjanov in the 52 kg weight category (5:0) and qualified for the semifinals.
Previously, Guler Huseynova (48 kg), Qardash Rahimov (46 kg), Ali Rushanov (46 kg), Aykhan Hasanov (50 kg), Aysel Farajova (46 kg), Jamila Muradli (54 kg) and Hagverdi Hasanov (63 kg) qualified for the semifinals.
Our boxers who reached the semifinals have secured at least a bronze medal for themselves.
