Azerbaijani boxer Ali Aliyev (46 kg) won a gold medal by defeating an Armenian athlete at the Gymnasiade Sports Games held in Manama, the capital of Bahrain, Apasport.az reports.
He secured a confident victory in the decisive match, ascending to the highest step of the podium.
In addition to Ali Aliyev, two more Azerbaijani boxers also won gold medals.
Shahin Mustafayev (48 kg) and Nihat Qasimov (50 kg) also reached the highest step of the podium.
