Mahammad Abdullayev, Azerbaijani boxer, competed in the semi-finals of the III European Games in Poland, Apasport.az reports.
On the way to the finals, the world champion in the +92 kg weight class fought with Nelvi Ram Tiafak (Germany).
Our boxer triumphed convincingly in the match. Abdullayev defeated his opponent by a score of 4:1 (29:28, 29:28, 30:27, 28:29) and increased his chance to win the championship.
By reaching the final, he acquired the license for the Summer Olympic Games in Paris in 2024. This was our boxers' second qualification for the upcoming Olympics in France. Murad Allahverdiyev (80 kg) had done this feat before him.
Notably, Allahverdiyev also won the bronze medal of the European Games.
