S&P 500 fingers six year highs

On Feb. 7 available data, the Dow Jones industrial average climbed 0.56% to settle at 12,666.87, APA reports.
The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index went up 2.02 points, or 0.14 percent, to 1,450.02, hitting a fresh six year highs, the Nasdaq Composite Index jumped 19.01 points, or 0.77 percent, to close at 2,490.50.
Cisco rose 81 cents to $28.09, Juniper Networks Inc. rose 58 cents to $19.21, Nortel Networks Corp. gained $2.33 to $28.26. European markets are trading in positive territory Wednesday ahead of the bell. The FTSE was up 7.9 points, the DAX 36.6 points, and the CAC 19.1.
The Hang Seng closed up 24.49 points, while the Nikkei of Japan shed 114.54. /APA/
