Oil price skyrockets to bullish market

Energy sector made investors and traders more bullish and active, Tuesday. Crude oil skyrocketed to its highest gain within 16 months on speculation that cold weather will finally influence U.S. fuel consumption.
Light sweet crude oil for March delivery jumped $2.96 to settle at $56.97 on the New York Mercantile Exchange. March Brent crude at London’s ICE Futures exchange rose $2.71 to $56.39 a barrel, the APA reports. Futures are some 17 per cent lower than a year ago. Traders were in dilemma long fluctuation. Saudi Arabia announced its customers it will cut supply by a further 158,000 barrels a day, effective Feb. 1. OPEC is also expected to reconsider its current output to counterbalance tendencies. /APA
