Average monthly salary rises 19.8% in Azerbaijan in ten months

Average monthly salary of employees working for Azerbaijani economy rose by 19.8%, year-over-year, to AZN 139.5 in the period of January-October.
State Statistical Committee told APA that employees working for mining industry, financial activities, real estate activities, leasing and consumer service activities and construction institutions are paid the highest monthly salary in this period.
The committee also stated that social allowances of AZN 5.8m were paid to the employees in January-May, 2006. These allowances were chiefly paid to the employees working for transport, storage, communications, supply of electricity power, gas and water supply, refinery, social security and construction. /APA/
