Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a decree establishing a Ukrainian delegation to take part in negotiations with the United States and other international partners as well as representatives of the Russian Federation, APA reports, citing UKRAINSKA PRAVDA.
Andrii Yermak, Head of the President's Office, has been appointed to lead the delegation.
The delegation also includes Rustem Umierov, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine (NSDC), and his deputy Yevhenii Ostrianskyi; Kyrylo Budanov, Head of Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU); Andrii Hnatov, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; Oleh Ivashchenko, Head of Ukraine's Foreign Intelligence Service; Serhii Kyslytsia, First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs; Oleksandr Poklad, Deputy Head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU); and Oleksandr Bevz, an adviser to Yermak.
Zelenskyy, in agreement with the head of the delegation, authorised its members to make changes to the delegation's team and instructed the Cabinet of Ministers (Ukrainian government) to ensure funding for their expenses.
"In the coming days in Switzerland we are launching consultations between senior officials of Ukraine and the United States on the possible parameters of a future peace agreement," the secretary of Ukraine's Security Council, Rustem Umerov, wrote on social media.
