Zelensky discussed situation at frontline with Swedish PM

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson dicussed the situation at the frontline, Ukrainian President posted on his Facebook account, APA reports.

During the online meeting Zelensky informed Ulf Kristersson about the situation at the frontline and the risks of its escalation, as well as the key needs of Ukraine to strengthen the defense forces.

"We expect that under Sweden's Presidency of the Council of the EU we will be able to start negotiations on the accession of Ukraine. This is a powerful motivator for our army and a common desire of our society. We believe that it will be a strong incentive for unity within the EU," stressed the President of Ukraine.

He also said that he is grateful for the humanitarian assistance and invites Ulf Kristersson to continue the dialogue on all areas during a personal meeting in Kyiv.
