Ukrainian president on official visit to Poland

Baku-APA. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko started a two-day visit to Poland on Wednesday, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

During the visit, he is expected to meet with Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski and Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz, make an address to the Polish parliament and participate in an economic forum.

"We would want the visit to be a confirmation of the strategic partnership binding Poland and Ukraine," the Polish Presidential Chancellery noted.

Poroshenko will be welcomed at a ceremony at the Presidential Palace, after which there will be a meeting of the two presidents and plenary talks attended by Polish and Ukrainian delegations. Poroshenko and Bronislaw Komorowski will also meet with journalists.

Later in the day, President Poroshenko will meet with Sejm Speaker Radoslaw Sikorski and Senate Speaker Bogdan Borusewicz. Poroshenko will address a special meeting of Polish deputies and senators and then go on to meet with Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz.

Poroshenko and Bronislaw Komorowski will also take part in a Polish-Ukrainian economic forum on Wednesday.

On Thursday, Poroshenko will visit Lublin in southeast Poland, where he will meet with Ukrainian students and the command of the multinational Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian brigade.
