Baku-APA. A train collided with a car at a railway crossing on Wednesday in southern German state of Bavaria, injuring 13 people, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
The regional train with about 50 passengers on board derailed after the collision. The accident took place in the municipality of Kellmuenz in the district of Neu-Ulm, local police reported.
The 46-year-old driver of the car and another two passengers were seriously injured and 10 people were slightly injured, according to the police.
The scene was being cleared while investigators were still looking for the cause of the accident, which caused a damage of 3.5 million euros (4.6 million U.S. dollars).
The route is expected to remain closed for several days, because the badly damaged tracks must be repaired. Passengers are advised to switch to other modes of transport
