Opposition wins in parliamentary elections in Bulgaria

Baku – APA. The opposition conservative party EMBLEM (Citizens for European development of Bulgaria) wins on last Sunday's parliamentary elections after counting 42 percent of the ballots, APA reports quoting Bulgarian press.

 

Only the legislature - the National Assembly are eight parties.

 

For the ARMS, headed by former Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, voted 33.6 percent of voters. In second place with 16.1% of the vote was the ruling Bulgarian socialist party (BSP). Also in the Parliament are representing the interests of the Turkish minority and Muslims, the liberal Movement for rights and freedoms (DSP) (11.8 percent), the Reformist block (8.5 percent), the Patriotic front (7.5 percent), "Bulgaria without censorship" (6 percent), nationalist "Ataka" (5 percent) and the coalition Alternative for Bulgarian revival (4.6 percent).

 

The Chairman of the BSP Mihail Mikov already recognized the results of the elections and congratulated the EMBLEM of victory.

 

The Bulgarian Parliament has 240 seats.
