Hatay Governor Mehmet Celalettin Lekesiz announced that on June 3, at 23:35, 22-year-old Abdulla Comert was wounded as a fire was opened by an unknown person in Armudlu district, taken to the hospital and died there. The governor said that security forces were also shot by firearms and at present investigation is underway.
8 hours before his death, Comert posted a message on social media: “I slept only 5 hours during the three days. I was repeatedly attacked by tear gas bombs and faced the risk of death three times. What do people say to me, you know? Let it pass, will you save the country? If we can’t save the country, we will die for it.”
