Baku-APA. Israel's prime minister has used the World Economic Forum in Davos as a platform to bid for peace, saying Israel's Arab neighbors could benefit from its economic growth, APA reports quoting Anadolu Agency.

“I'm ready for peace. I’m ready for a real, secure genuine peace," Benjamin Netanyahu said Thursday. "However, advancement of peace must be built on two foundations of mutual recognition and strong security arrangements."

He added that advancing economic peace would complement political peace and that Israelis, Palestinians and Arab neighbours would benefit from such growth.

Netanyahu highlighted Israel's advances as a global leader in sustainability, in terms of renewable energy, water and food production, and added that Israel had invested heavily in cyber security.

“We are making, as a government, a massive investment in this area,” he said, inviting global investors to become partners in benefiting from such advances.

Netanyahu is scheduled to meet United States Secretary of State John Kerry on the sidelines of Davos on Friday, with both Palestinians and Israel under pressure to commit to a blueprint for peace.
