# 09 July 2013 08:25 (UTC +04:00)

Brake system of "Airbus - I300-310" aircraft owned by "IranAir" Airline Company didn’t work while landing at Hamburg International Airport of Germany.

Aircraft was able to stop just touching defense walls along the landing strip. The aircraft and passengers did not receive any injuries due to pilot’s mastery. Then the passengers were disembarked from the plane and it was taken to the hangar for inspection. Hamburg International Airport was closed for a while due to the accident.

The plane left for Hamburg from Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport forcibly landed at Ljubljana airport of Slovenia and the arrival of passengers in Iran’s capital was delayed for 4 hours.

Iranian aircrafts have been deprived of refueling and other services at European airports under the U.S. sanctions imposed against Iran. Furthermore, Iran is unable to update its air park, provide necessary spare parts for its aircrafts due to sanctions and their exploitation terms have already expired.
