APA reports quoting Turkish Hurriyyet newspaper that Berat Duzguner having psychological disorders attacked deputy head of Georgian president's press service, journalist Shopo Cacanidze at the reception room of the Presidential Palace.
Meeting with one of officials of the Presidential Palace, the woman attacked the Georgian journalist. She pulled Cacanidze to the ground by her hair. The journalists have intervened in the incident. The guards of the Presidential Palace detained Duzguner.
Duzguner claimed self-defense in her preliminary testimony as she thought that the journalist would hurt her.
Georgian journalist attended the meeting at the Presidential Palace after receiving outpatient treatment in the hospital. Answering the questions of journalists, Cacanidze laughed and said that she wouldn’t complain about what had happened.
