Hundreds of soldiers deployed on French streets

Baku. Rufat Ahmadzada – APA. Hundreds of soldiers have been deployed on the streets of Paris and other major cities by the decision of the French government, APA reports quoting Sabah newspaper.

This is caused by the fear of terrorist attacks in the country over the last three days.

French Prime Minister Manuel Valls stated that hundreds of soldiers will assist the security forces in the country on the eve of Christmas.

1080 Special Forces have been sent to near the Eiffel Tower in Paris and other districts within three days.

The attacks made against the police and civilians in Dijon, Tours and Nantes at the end of last week forced the government to take serious measures. Those attacks injured 27 including 3 police officers. The announcement, by Prime Minister Manuel Valls, came after officials stressed the attacks were not related and downplayed links to terrorism. However, the French government concerned that the ISIS grouping may perform terrorist acts in the country.
