Baku-APA. Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili, who is paying an official to Ankara, has today met with Turkish President Abdullah Gul.
APA reports that following the meeting, Giorgi Margvelashvili and Abdullah Gul held a press conference at Cankaya Presidential Palace.
Giorgi Margvelashvili said Turkey always supports Georgia's territorial integrity, expressed his confidence that if other friendly countries demonstrate such a resolute position, the problem will be solved soon. He said the cooperation of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey in international and energy and transport projects is of great importance for the entire Eurasia.
Sharing Abdullah Gul's opinion on the repatriation of Meskhetian Turks, Georgian President said they assess this issue within the recognition of human rights and individual rights, think that these rights must be recognized.
Giorgi Margvelashvili said he was pleased to pay his first official visit to Turkey.
