A fire that erupted in the forest of Zeskho village in Lentekhi municipality, Georgia’s Svaneti region on July 11, has been extinguished, APA’s Georgia bureau reports.
About 3 hectares of the forest have burnt.
There is no risk of a re-blaze.
It was impossible to use heavy fire fighting equipment because of the difficult terrain. Living force and a helicopter were involved in fire-fighting efforts.
