Baku-APA. “Europe chosen a new priority project pipeline - the South Stream pipeline, which will receive gas from Caspian region”, - said the European Commissioner for Energy Affairs of the Union Maros Sefcovic following the meeting of the EU Council at the level of energy Ministers, APA reports quoting gazeta.ru.
He also noted that the first gas on the southern gas corridor from the Caspian region to Europe expect to get to 2019.
The Commissioner said that the Ministers considered "simpler political and bureaucratic problems with the implementation of the European energy project", as well as assist in solving these problems between its members outside the EU
The European Commissioner said that the EU has already received assurances of Azerbaijan and Turkey's commitment to the implementation of projects within the southern corridor.
