Baku – APA. “If corruption cases are concealed, the society will decay. This issue should be investigated”, said the Turkish President Abdullah Gül while answering the questions of journalists regarding recent events in Turkey in Haberturk TV channel. Gül noted that duties of prosecutors and courts are to reveal irregularities within the framework of the law: “Nothing can be concealed. Those who have no wrong deeds should not fear”.
President did not agree with the position of Erdogan government that compares corruption and bribery operations on December 17 and Gezi Park incidents in June and claims that these are games of external forces against the government: “I don’t think that the corruption cases and Gezi happenings are connected. These are separate issues”.
Head of the State has demonstrated different position on one more issue. He stressed that parliamentary system of government is more favorable for Turkey: “I think that parliamentary system of government is more favorable for Turkey. However, there can be presidential system, if the majority wants.”
