Baku-APA. Over 5,000 protesters gathered outside a mall called Espark in Eskisehir on Tuesday night for an "all-night action," chanting anti-government slogans, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
Clashes broke out when police tried to disperse the protesters by firing tear gas canisters and water cannons, leaving three protesters, a journalist and a police officer wounded.
The clashes lasted until 5 a.m. (0200 GMT) on Wednesday morning.
The protests began as a peaceful sit-in against a plan to redevelop Gezi Park in Istanbul, but soon snowballed into nationwide anti-government movement due to harsh police crackdowns.
Clashes between police and protesters across Turkey have killed at least five people, including a policeman, and injured some 5, 000.
