Coordinator of the COVID-19 response, Dr. Ashish Jha, announced on Thursday the White House hopes vaccination of young children will begin as early as June 21 if federal authorities clear its use in the coming weeks, APA reports citing Tele Trader.
Jha told journalists that the government would provide 10 million vaccines to state and local officials to begin a comprehensive vaccination program for children under five.
He further mentioned the US government had sufficient COVID-19 vaccines from Pfizer Inc. and Moderna Inc. to start the vaccination program.
