British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace announced the United Kingdom will provide Ukraine with more advanced medium-range air-to-air missiles (AMRAAMs) to help it defend its airspace from Russia, APA reports citing Teletrader,
"Russia's latest indiscriminate strikes on civilian areas in Ukraine warrant further support to those seeking to defend their nation," he said in a statement. "These weapons will help Ukraine defend its skies from attacks and strengthen their overall missile defense alongside the US [United States] NASAMS [National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System]."
Wallace's statements came amid the North Atlantic Treaty Organization's (NATO) ongoing meeting, taking place in Brussels between October 12 and 13.
