USAID's funding has not been used for charitable purposes, Georgian PM says

USAID funding has not been used for charitable purposes; it has been used specifically for organizing revolutions, creating unrest, and destabilizing countries, including Georgia, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said during an interview with journalists in Kazakhstan, APA's Georgia bureau reports.

The Prime Minister noted that today the US government officially repeats what the Georgian government has been saying since the spring of 2023.

"Of course, all this requires further investigation. We are pleased that USAID funding has been suspended for three months. The most important thing for us is that it remains this way. It would be crucial for USAID not to attempt to destabilize our country again and not to provide direct support for revolutionary processes. We hope that the three-month suspension mechanism will remain in place," said the Prime Minister.
