Searches were conducted this morning in the apartment of Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, located in the government district, APA reports, citing a Ukrainskaya Pravda correspondent from the scene.

The search is being carried out by employees of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) within the framework of the “Mindič case.”

Note that Oleksiy Goncharenko, a member of the Verkhovna Rada from the “European Solidarity” Party, has said that NABU is investigating Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) and former Minister of Defense. According to the MP, he is accused of embezzling state funds.

In the past week, NABU has released information regarding the investigation of a corruption case in the energy sector, including the wiretapping of negotiations. The main figure in this case is Timur Mindič, a former associate of Zelensky and co-owner of the “Kvartal 95” studio.

Following these revelations, two Ukrainian ministers — Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk and Justice Minister Herman Halushchenko — were forced to resign. According to NABU and SAP, the businessman headed a criminal group that operated a large-scale corruption scheme at the state-owned enterprise “Energoatom,” which runs Ukraine’s three nuclear power plants. Members of the group received 10–15% kickbacks from contracts signed with the enterprise’s counterparties. The funds were then laundered in an office in central Kyiv. Investigators have stated that approximately USD 100 million was laundered in total. Mindič has left Ukraine and is currently wanted.

Ukrainian media also reported several days ago that NABU is preparing corruption charges against Andriy Yermak and Rustem Umerov.

It was also reported that Rustem Umerov was questioned as a witness on November 25 in the case involving Timur Mindič’s “money laundering” scheme.

Bloomberg published a report claiming that President Zelensky and officials close to him may be implicated in the corruption scandal. Andriy Yermak’s name has also been mentioned in connection with the case.
