Ukraine was able to return the bodies of another 44 soldiers, APA reports citing the Ministry for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.
The transfer of the bodies of the dead defenders is carried out in accordance with the norms of the Geneva Conventions.
"Today, the repatriation of the bodies of the dead Ukrainian servicemen from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine (TOT) took place. Thus, it was possible to return the bodies of another 44 defenders," noted the ministry.
After identification, the bodies of the servicemen will be handed over to their families for a decent burial.
