Ukraine is a country receiving the largest amount of assistance from the US since World War II, APA reports citing The Washington Post.
After Russia’s invasion of Ukraine starting last February, Washington provided Kyiv with USD 66.2 bln worth of aid, of this USD 43 bln - direct military aid, The Washington Post citing official information published by the Pentagon and US Department of State.
The US sent approximately USD 23.5 bln. worth of military equipment to Ukraine, take long-term commitments worth USD 18 bln. to support Kyiv and finance the production of arms, allocated subsidies worth USD 1.5 bln to buy weapons from the West and hand them over to Ukraine.
