"Türkiye is expected to export defense industry products worth USD 4 billion to foreign countries during this year," said Ismail Demir, Chairman of Turkish Defense Industry Presidency at the opening ceremony of "SAHA EXPO" - 2022 Defense, Aviation, and Cosmic Industry Exhibition, APA's correspondent in Istanbul reports.
He has noted that Türkiye has already become a leading country in defense industry, production of goods is conducted with local opportunities of 80%.
Demir has added that Türkiye is among 10 countries, which can build military ships.
