"The grain agreement initiated with the mediation of Turkiye in order to prevent global food crisis, will expire on November 19," said Turkiye's Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar while replying to the questions of the journalists on the grain corridor, APA reports citing NTV.
He also noted that Turkiye has a great role in the establishment and activity of this corridor.
Akar also commented on the Joint Coordination center operating in Istanbul: "Our friends working in the Joint Coordination Center operating in Istanbul work very hard. We work 24/7 in order to carry the Ukrainian grain. Our purpose from the beginning is obvious. We work to prevent food crises in the world, to ensure that there are no hungry people in the world and that political stability is not disturbed. Turkiye, surely, supports extending the term of the "Grain Agreement". We also investigate which works can be done in order to carry grain in the Russian pots," said Akar.
