Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar attended the meeting of NATO Defense Ministers "Ukraine Defense Contact Group" in Brussels. Turkish Ministry of National Defense said, APA's Istanbul correspondent reports.
During the meeting, Minister Akar emphasized the importance of diplomacy, recalled Turkiye's support for Ukraine and efforts to ensure a ceasefire and reduce tension.
He also pointed out that the grain dreal and prisoner exchange were the result of Turkiye's diplomatic efforts.
US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin, in turn, thanked Minister Akar for Turkiye's contributions.
